Current Opportunities
Contractor - Class Offering
To offer classes with NeuroQuest, you would need to be registered as a business or independent contractor to be considered (1099) and agree to do an FBI Fingerprint background clearance.
Responsibilities:
- Offer a specific class in an elective or core subject – Art, Music, Cooking, Theatre, gardening, design, reading, writing, math, science, social studies. You would be responsible for developing the class curricula, activities, flow, pricing and schedule in partnership with NeuroQuest.
- Collaborate with parents, and support staff to support children in classes.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel valued, understood, and empowered to succeed.
Requirements:
- Registered business or independent contractor, and complete background check.
- Willing to do a one day training with director on neurodiversity affirming teaching practices.
- Positive attitude and patience for children who think differently and don’t fit the typical box.
Tutor (math, reading, writing, science, etc.)
Responsibilities:
- You will offer tutoring in your specialty(ies) to provide academic support and fostering a positive learning environment tailored to their unique needs of the student(s).
- You should be an EXPERT in your subject matter as you’ll have students from K-12th grade in your tutoring classes. Many of our kids are twice exceptional and are quite gifted in certain areas, while underdeveloped in others.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of neurodiversity-informed teaching practices and strategies, or willing to learn.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with children and families.
- Patience, empathy, and understanding of the unique needs and challenges of students.
Head Teacher
Responsibilities:
- Support student learning in classes that contractors are running by providing neurodiveristy affirming support, like helping the kids take breaks, access regulation tools (fidgets, water bottle, go outside) etc, and keeping them engaged in the class.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued, understood, and empowered to succeed.
- Help check students in and out of classes that contractors are running and communicate and support parents with information, policies, etc.
- Help keep the facilities clean and organized before, during and after classes.
- Help manage the assistant teachers
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, or related field
- Current California Teaching Credential
- Experience working in a classroom setting with students (minimum 3 years)
- Strong understanding of neurodiversity-informed teaching practices (or willing to take trainings to learn).
- Commitment to ongoing professional development in the field of neurodiversity.
Assistant Teacher
Responsibilities:
- Support head teacher in supporting students in classes that contractors are running by incorporating neuroaffirming teaching strategies like helping the kids take breaks, access regulation tools (fidgets, water bottle, go outside) etc, and keeping them engaged in the class.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel valued, understood, and empowered to succeed.
- Help students check in and out of classes, supervise them when they take breaks, outside, etc.
- Help clean up before, during and after the classes.
Requirements:

- Associates degree or 3+ years experience working with children
- Experience working with students in a classroom setting (1+ year).
- Strong understanding of neurodiversity-informed teaching practices (or willing to take trainings to learn).
- Commitment to ongoing professional development in the field of neurodiversity.
