Welcome to NeuroQuest Enrichment Classes, located in Encinitas, California! NeuroQuest is a place where every learner is valued, understood, and supported. Our mission is to create an inclusive and nurturing educational environment that recognizes and celebrates neurodiversity. By integrating the latest in educational research and technology with compassionate and innovative approaches, we strive to empower all students to reach their full potential.
Who We Are
NeuroQuest is a center that offers daytime elective and core classes to supplement your child’s educational journey. We hire contractors (small businesses and individuals) to offer classes in STEM, art, cooking, theatre, music, reading, writing, math, and more at our facility. All our classes are led by experienced, neurodiversity-affirming staff, including former public/private school teachers and homeschoolers. All classroom adults undergo FBI fingerprint background checks.

Our Vision
We envision a world where students are provided with the tools and support they need to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. Our goal is to create a learning environment where differences are celebrated and each student’s individual strengths are recognized and nurtured.

- Providing resources and support for families and advocating for policies and practices that promote inclusion and understanding of neurodiversity in education.
Our Approach
We believe in the power of individualized, low-demand strategies to support all learners. This approach involves minimizing stressors and demands, allowing students to engage in learning in a way that feels natural and manageable for them. Our super powers include:
- Interest-Based Learning (IBL): we use students’ interests to guide their learning and make it more meaningful and relevant. We offer a variety of enrichment classes to support your homeschooling journey and provide engaging learning and social opportunities for your child.
IBL can help students become active learners, and can have many benefits, including:
- Engagement: Students are more likely to pay attention, be engaged, and process information more effectively.
- Motivation: Students are more motivated and excited about learning.
- Pace: Students can learn at their own pace.
- Career preparation: Students who discover academic interests and hone them may be better prepared for satisfying careers.
- Teacher Training: Equipping educators with the knowledge and skills to implement low-demand and inclusive teaching practices. Our training programs focus on creating empathetic and responsive learning environments.
- Family Support: Providing resources and guidance for families to help them support their children effectively. We offer workshops, community-building activities and events to foster a supportive network for our students and their families.
